Best Fortnite Seasons and Why They Stood Out

Fortnite has been the epicenter of Battle Royale games for a while now. Even though Epic’s favorite baby wasn’t the first to boast the 100-player battle royale theme style, it certainly is the one that gained the most popularity first. With the base game offering itself as a free download and the rest of the in-game goodies presenting themselves as near-harmless microtransactions, Fortnite has nailed its business model right down to the T.

Best Fortnite Seasons and Why They Stood Out

Alas, not every season of Fortnite has been so hot. There have sometimes been “filler” seasons, some that just didn’t sit right or some that were a plain drag. We’re here to weed out the best from the rest.

Grab your gear and let’s drop in!

Season 1

The season that started it all! Season 1 was what resonated heavily with die-hard fans today. Enough to push them to stick around till now and either become literal gaming gods or sweaty, raging beasts of fury. There is no in-between. Interestingly, this season didn’t have a Battle Pass. All it required was for you to play, earn XP, and grab all the rewards up for offer. It was a quaint season and did a good job of setting up the stage for the other seasons that followed.

Chapter 3: Season 3

This is a more recent one and we strongly advise being in sync with Fortnite’s chronological order before you read through. Anyway, chapter 3, season 3 was a filler season but one with an enormous amount of stuff to do. The main objective was to “vibe”- chill and have fun decimating your opponents. Bright colors, fun parties, and ice cream cones were a constant.

Season 7

The main theme for this one was winter. A gigantic ice biome filled with snow, guns, and airplanes. Yes, this was the season that introduced aerial combat. It was a welcome update until every random joe decided to board a plane and start shooting up stuff. Regardless, the upgraded game engine, snowboards with jets, and slippery slopes really got players riled up.

Chapter 3: Season 1

The first season for each chapter is always a blast. Because, of course, Epic has to rope in as many new and returning players as it can and convince them why it’s a good idea to drop back into their map and shoot up some more people. And they did so with this one by bringing in weather changes and our friendly neighborhood Spiderman.

Fortnite, at its core, is a super competitive game that also features rank battles. These battles give players a chance to prove their mettle at an international level and reap some precious rewards. Epic lets players take part even if they’re playing from home.

But it’s no use if the participants don’t have a sturdy internet connection that doesn’t lag. If you’re in this boat then heed our recommendation and check out AT&T Internet plans. AT&T is a leading internet telecommunications provider that understands how sweaty gaming can get. Hook yourself up with their service and get cracking!

Chapter 3: Season 2

This was the one where there was an all-out war. Usually, Fortnite likes to take a more subtle approach when compared to the likes of PUBG or COD but the devs had probably had enough when conjuring this season and decided to make it all about strategic warfare. Enter tanks, ballistic missiles, and armored cars. Fortnite was not joking around.

To make the game even more challenging, this season introduced a new game mode called “Zero Build”. Quite self-explanatory, players who switched to this could skip the building part and get straight into shooting and blowing up people/buildings. Top that with a collaboration with Marvel to throw in characters such as Prowler and Dr. Strange and you have a well-done package.

Chapter 2: Season 4

If there was one season that made it entirely about Marvel, it was this one. Even though there was very little originality and the entire map felt like a Marvel comic, the characters introduced such as Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, and Groot were all well executed. Players could even grab hold of the infamous infinity stone gauntlet and have a ball obliterating other players with it.

Chapter 2: Season 3

Season 3 had more of an aquatic feel to it, with Loot Sharks aplenty and jet skis, rafts, and swimming being an integral part of winning. Epic even threw in choppers to fly above players and have your mates rain down hell on them. The most amount of surprise that players got was the introduction of drivable cars that everyone then obviously zipped around the map and forgot about winning.

Conclusion

That’s a wrap on all we have for the best seasons by Fortnite. Each aforementioned season has its own theme to it along with an assortment of characters, vehicles and colorful monsters. Check out Fortnite for free because we have a feeling you’ll find something in there that will appeal to your taste as well.
